“I am seeking, I am striving. I am in it with all my heart.”

- Vincent Van Gogh

“La Suisse,”
2024

In the heart of every stitch, every fold, and every hue of this collection lies a story— a story deeply rooted in the love for my country, Switzerland, and a wish to challenge and expand the horizons of the fashion industry. This project is not just close to my heart; it is my heart, on show for the world to see, to feel, and, I hope, to understand.

Switzerland, with its uneven mountains, blooming valleys, and the sheer diversity of its natural landscapes, stands as a testament to the beauty of diversity and the strength found in imperfections. It's in these landscapes that I find the true essence of beauty— one that's inclusive, that celebrates every form, every curve, and every unique trait that makes us who we are. It's this essence that I aim to capture in my collection, pulling from the rich palette of our mountains and the deep, enduring spirit of our traditions.

But it's not just about the physical beauty of our land; it's about the spirit it embodies— the spirit of inclusivity, of recognising and celebrating the unseen. From the high-altitude meadows to the depths of our forests, nature itself shows us that diversity is not just natural; it's necessary. This philosophy, deeply intertwined with the beatnik ethos of freedom, non-conformity, and a profound respect for individuality. It's a call to look beyond the surface, to see the beauty in the stories that aren't always told, in the challenges that aren't always seen.

In this collection, I strive to bring attention to those often overlooked by the traditional fashion industry. It's a celebration of our wonderful bodies, of the experiences we go through, and of the incredible things we can achieve. It's a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit, to the strength found in facing and overcoming challenges, whether it's living with a disability, having the need for an ostomy bag, insulin or oxygen— or even redefining feminine after undergoing a mastectomy. It's about creating a space where every body, every person, is seen, valued, and celebrated.

Aligning with the UN's Sustainability Goals of Reduced Inequalities (Goal 10) and Good Health and Well-being (Goal 3), this collection is a commitment to doing better, to creating a world where fashion is not just an expression of identity but a celebration of it in all its forms. It's an acknowledgment that while we may all walk different paths, we share a common ground in our humanity, in our connection to nature, and in our inherent worth.

In every piece of this collection, I invite you to step into a world where diversity is celebrated like the myriad forms of life in our Swiss landscapes— beautiful, vibrant, and essential. It's a celebration, a declaration, and a hopeful glance toward a future where fashion embraces everyone, just as the mountains embrace the sky— vast, majestic, and wonderfully inclusive.
