My role also required extensive use of Excel for developing detailed tech packs, which provided essential technical specifications for production. Additionally, I was hands-on with sample production and sewing, ensuring that the garments met quality and fit standards. This combination of technical and practical tasks allowed me to bridge the gap between digital design and the physical creation of quality garments. I also contributed creatively by brainstorming design ideas for both the S/S25 and A/W26 collections. This experience sharpened my ability to work on seasonal trends while considering both the brand's identity and current market demands. Being involved in the full design process— from initial concept to final sample— gave me invaluable insight into how to balance creative vision with practical execution in the luxury fashion world. It was one of my first times working in a group like this, and though it started out as a bit of a challenge, it turned out to be a great experience. We took inspiration from a brand: ‘Schiaparelli’ (which I can now spell correctly), from an artist: ‘Louise Bourgeois’ and from another concept that inspired us: ‘Skin and its ageing process’.&nbsp; It's a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit, to the strength found in facing and overcoming challenges, whether it's living with a disability, having the need for an ostomy bag, insulin or oxygen— or even redefining feminine after undergoing a mastectomy. It's about creating a space where every body, every person, is seen, valued, and celebrated. Aligning with the UN's Sustainability Goals of Reduced Inequalities (Goal 10) and Good Health and Well-being (Goal 3), this collection is a commitment to doing better, to creating a world where fashion is not just an expression of identity but a celebration of it in all its forms. It's an acknowledgment that while we may all walk different paths, we share a common ground in our humanity, in our connection to nature, and in our inherent worth. It was a real challenge, but I learnt a huge amount and had a lot of fun, especially with the research – I ended up with more material than I could use! My inspiration came from the vibrant ‘Flower Power’ movement and the colourful world of the Hippies. I aimed to infuse my journal pages with the same exciting, whimsical vibe that defined the hippie lifestyle. I was particularly drawn to the era's bold makeup and eclectic accessorising, with its frequent clashes of fabrics and prints. For a unique twist, I chose to present my final collection designs over croquis from the covers of paper patterns popular at the time. This project was a delightful exploration of an iconic cultural movement, blending historical research with design.
